About

A warm studio for the biggest words of your life.

Last updated July 2026

HoneyBee Notes was born from a simple truth: the words we say on a wedding day matter more than almost any other words we'll ever speak — and most of us have no idea how to write them. We built HoneyBee Notes to help you find your voice and put it on the page, gently, without pressure.

What we believe

Great vows and toasts aren't performances — they're promises and thank-yous made in front of the people you love. Our tools nudge you toward specific, honest, spoken-out-loud language and away from cliché. The result should sound like you on your best day, not like a template.

Who it's for

  • Couples writing personal vows for the ceremony.
  • Best men, maids of honor, and matrons of honor preparing toasts.
  • Anyone writing a private morning-of letter to their partner.

How we work

HoneyBee Notes is a small, independent product. We charge a one-time fee for a full year of access so you have time to draft, revise, print, and revisit everything you write for the big day.

About Louis, the Founder

Louis has been immersed in weddings for nearly 30 years. It all started back in 1996 when he photographed a friend's wedding armed with three Mamiya 645 Pro medium-format film cameras and a healthy dose of confidence. Somehow, it worked — and he hasn't looked back since.

Over the years, he's photographed more than 780 weddings, which means he's seen just about everything. The first dance? Beautiful. The cake falling over? It happens. The best man's speech that goes completely off the rails? More than once. And yes... there was even the time the wedding officiant forgot he was supposed to officiate the wedding. That unexpected moment inspired Louis to become a wedding officiant himself.

After witnessing hundreds of weddings, one thing became crystal clear: couples and their wedding parties are always looking for a little extra help. Whether it's writing heartfelt vows, rescuing a panicked best man's toast, helping a Maid of Honor find the perfect words, or crafting a memorable love letter, Louis has spent decades quietly helping make wedding days even more meaningful.

This was the natural next step — a place where all of those little wedding lifesavers live in one spot. So here's to unforgettable vows, speeches that earn happy tears instead of awkward silence, and wedding days filled with laughter, love, family, friends, and the people who make up your tribe. Cheers to your happily ever after!
