How we create, review, and update content.

Last updated July 2026

Everything on HoneyBee Notes — every pillar guide, blog post, and example — is shaped by real wedding experience and reviewed by a human before it goes live. This page explains how the sausage is made so you can trust what you read here.

Who writes here

HoneyBee Notes is a small, founder-led studio. Our editorial voice belongs to Louis Torres — a wedding photographer and officiant with nearly 30 years in the aisle and more than 780 weddings photographed. That is not marketing shorthand; every guide is written or reviewed by someone who has actually been at the ceremony, the toast, the reception, and the parking-lot pep talk ten minutes before dinner.

How AI assists (and doesn't replace) human judgment

We use AI thoughtfully as a drafting tool, not a replacement for expertise. On the writing tools (Vow Writer, Best Man Speech, Maid of Honor Speech, Love Letter, Blog Rewrite), AI produces first-draft language from the specific details you provide — names, memories, tones, relationships. The model is your first draft; you are always the final editor.

On our educational content — pillars, guides, examples, and blog posts — AI is used only for outline scaffolding and light copy assistance. Every published article is edited, fact-checked, and approved by Louis before it appears on the site. We do not auto-publish AI-generated articles.

How articles are reviewed

  • Every guide is drafted or outlined by Louis, then edited for accuracy, tone, and pacing.
  • Advice is drawn from firsthand ceremonies and receptions, not scraped from other wedding blogs.
  • Article headers show Published, Last Updated, and Reviewed By dates so you always know what you're reading.
  • When wedding norms, etiquette, or best practices shift, we update the article and refresh the "Last Updated" date rather than publishing a new one.
  • Reader feedback and questions from real couples are used to expand and correct existing guides.

Our commitment to accuracy and authenticity

  • No fabricated stories, no invented quotes, no borrowed anecdotes presented as ours.
  • No affiliate steering: we recommend approaches, not brands paying for placement.
  • No slurs, no punching down, no jokes at anyone's expense — in the guides or the generator.
  • If we ever get something wrong, we correct it in place and note the correction.

How we protect your privacy

When you use the writing tools, the details you share about your partner, wedding party, and memories are used to generate your draft and are stored with your account so you can return to it. We do not sell your data. We do not train third-party models on your inputs. Full details live on our Privacy page, and platform controls live on our Trust & Security page.

How we handle AI-generated wedding writing you create

Anything you generate — vows, speeches, letters — is yours. Read it out loud, revise anything that doesn't sound like you, and make it your own before the wedding day. The best speeches are always the ones a partner or friend would immediately recognize as yours. See our full writing-engine methodology for how tone, pacing, and safety guardrails work.
